has more than 20 years of sales and consulting experience in the information industry. Jan served as Senior Director of Client Services Consulting for Knight-Ridder Information, Inc., (formerly Dialog Information Services). In that capacity, she managed account development and instructional development activities. Before that, Jan was Director of the Midwest sales office for Knight-Ridder Information. Jan has advised companies on the selection, acquisition, and licensing of content resources to meet their internal needs. In that role, she has led information needs assessment projects and strategic planning activities for corporate information centers. She has also conducted market assessments on behalf of publishers and information aggregators to gauge expansion opportunities. Earlier in her career, she worked in abstracting, indexing, and translating. Jan received a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin and an M.A. from Middlebury College.
